Horizon Recruitment Inc. is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager for a rapidly growing manufacturing organization based in Surrey. Our client develops, sources, fabricates, imports, and sells advanced traction, wear products and attachment solutions used in various applications within the heavy civil and consumer sectors. This is a great opportunity with a stable company that has a history dating back over 50 years. Our client has experiencing significant growth in a business with an innovative product line and growing market.

The Supply Chain Manager will be a part of a team that will drive significant process and procedural improvements as the company moves into a new phase of its evolution. The Supply Chain Manager will be the lead negotiator who will manage a portfolio of vendors, covering major equipment, project materials, and operational supplies.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and execute tactical, operational and strategic Supply Chain processes to ensure sales orders are on-time and error free
  • Provide standard lead-time commitments to order fulfillment and ensure forecast accuracy objectives are met
  • Coordinate regular inventory cycle counts and identify and rectify all discrepancies (shortages, overages, incorrect parts)
  • Directs and manages the procurement and inventory of necessary materials, components, and supplies needed to meet the changing levels of product demand and variation.
  • Provides support to supply chain teams and routinely analyzes and acts on correcting interdepartmental challenges or inefficiencies
  • Identify cost drivers and deliver cost savings and quality improvements in line with the organization’s expectations year over year
  • Executes purchase orders, arranges shipping of inbound and outbound products.
  • Directly manages procurement, warehouse and logistics.
  • Supports proper utilization and development of ERP system.
  • Works directly with manufacturing planning on upcoming production schedules and requirements.
  • Works directly with service on stock levels for customer requirements.
  • Perform cost analysis and set appropriate benchmarks.
  • Supporting supplier relationship and supplier performance management initiatives

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • APICS, ISM or any post-secondary supply chain certification, an asset.
  • 5+ years of supply chain (specifically procurement, warehouse and logistics) experience.
  •  3+ years of experience in a management role within the supply chain discipline.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Creative problem solver, who works well under pressure.
  • Flexibility to adapt to a rapidly evolving and growing environment where responsibilities and position scope may change.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organized.
  • Time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Safety conscious must adhere to safety policies & procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and various industry-standard software.
  • ERP experience required.
  • Understand the importance of teamwork and have a positive impact on the team.


Remuneration:

  • $110K - $120K
