Horizon Recruitment Inc. is conducting the search for a Contracts Specialist for our large BC based client. This role will assist with the management of a portfolio of contracts focusing on a BC-based operations and will work on-site on a 14/7 rotation.
The Contracts Specialist will manage ongoing civil operations along with a portfolio of equipment supply & install contracts.
Responsibilities:
- Manage post-award vendor relationships with service providers
- Manage major vendor negotiations
- Manage all change orders, claims, and scope inquiries
- Develop and manage vendor KPI's and scorecards
- Track project budgets and schedules for contract portfolio
- Assist with the development of scope of work and RFx for construction tenders
- Liaise with project managers, engineers and construction/site managers to ensure vendors complete work to schedule and to required quality levels.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience running Major Capital Procurements in well in excess of $100 million p
- Significant experience writing, negotiating and preparing contracts and change order documents
- Experience or exposure to large scale construction or engineering projects is required
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills is expected
- Experience working in a complex, large scale environment
- Proven ability to manage shifting priorities, deliverables and multiple stakeholders
- University level training and education in procurement, engineering or construction management
Remuneration:
- $100-$115/hr
