Horizon Recruitments' Calgary office is actively seeking an experienced Senior Contract Manager to lead the management of a substantial Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract valued at approximately $260 million, for our Calgary based Oil & Gas client. This 1-year contract presents a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in overseeing a major project for a deep cut facility in Western Canada.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and finalize contract terms and conditions for the execution of the EPC contract for the deep cut facility.
- Effectively manage relationships with contractors and suppliers, ensuring adherence to time and cost considerations while resolving any disputes that may arise.
- Lead the management of changes and escalations throughout the life of the EPC contract.
- Evaluate proposals and conduct negotiations to establish and finalize contract agreements.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in overseeing large EPC contracts, preferably exceeding $100 million.
- Provide direction to a team of contract management professionals and support staff.
- Proven expertise in writing, negotiating, and finalizing EPC contracts.
- Preferred experience in large-scale construction or engineering projects.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate and excel in a complex, large-scale environment.
- Proven track record of effectively managing shifting priorities, deliverables, and multiple stakeholders.
- University-level training and education in contract management, engineering, or construction management.
- Pay Range: $100-$120/hourly depending on experience.
