Horizon Recruitment is seeking a talented and motivated Project Coordinator (Procurement & Expediting) to join our team on a 12-month contract basis to support our project procurement team and be responsible for expediting materials related to large capital projects. As a Project Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our projects by supporting the procurement team in managing Purchase Orders, tracking orders, and expediting materials. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all materials are delivered on time and in accordance with project specifications.


  • Work closely with the procurement team to manage Purchase Orders, suppliers, track orders, and ensure timely delivery of materials
  • Create Purchase Orders and process change orders
  • Communicate with suppliers to ensure that orders are placed and delivered on time
  • Monitor material shipments and proactively identify and resolve any issues that may arise
  • Develop and maintain a tracking system for all orders and shipments
  • Coordinate with project managers and other team members to ensure that materials are delivered in accordance with project specifications
  • Communicate with vendors and suppliers to resolve any issues related to materials or deliveries
  • Generate reports and provide regular updates to project managers and other stakeholders


  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
  • 2-3 years of experience in project coordination, procurement, or expediting
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of project management software and tools (such as Trello, Asana, or Microsoft Project) is a plus
  • Familiarity with procurement processes, expediting materials, and managing Purchase Orders is preferred
