Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis

Horizon Recruitment Inc. is currently seeking a Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis for a large Lower Mainland client in the manufacturing space. Our client has been growing leaps and bounds over the last five years through both organic growth and acquisition. As it grows, more insight into the business is needed. In the newly created role of Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis, you will work to establish the FP&A function as a valued and trusted partner to the Executive team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide decision support to various parts of the organization by shining a financial light on business situations
• Use your strong business acumen to help make pragmatic recommendations to help grow the business
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators through the use of dashboards and other reports
• Build on and take over the budgeting process, working closely with operational managers

Requirements:

• A recognized accounting designation is required (CPA, CA, CGA, CMA)
• 2+ years at a managerial level is preferred with team leadership
• 6+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis in a complex environment
• Advanced analytical and financial modeling skills using Excel and other tools
• Strong user of PowerPoint to put together board presentations
• Strong interpersonal and exceptional communication skills to work in a geographically dispersed business
• Ability to develop and manage a dynamic business process in a fast paced environment
