Horizon Recruitment Inc. has an immediate need for a Project Manager with a large-scale organization that delivers services across the lower mainland. Our client has a large portfolio of residential properties and requires a facilities project manager to deliver a wide range of maintenance and upgrade projects.

 

This position will combine frequent site visits and construction management activities with strategic planning, budget creation and extensive vendor management requirements. The ideal candidate will excel in both site and office aspects of the role and will have exceptional communication and organizational skills.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage project portfolio and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Develop project plan and manage contractor’s program for maintenance and upgrade services including:
  • Major plumbing
  • Electrical upgrades.
  • Building control / HVAC systems.
  • Landscaping
  • Elevator services / maintenance.
  • Building envelope services.
  • Assess sites to develop recommendations and manage project priorities.
  • Build stakeholder engagement, awareness and confidence.
  • Develop project scope of work , Budgets and schedules for portfolio.
  • Liaise with design and engineering contracts to support plan / drawing development .
  • Attend meetings with contractors to build partnership and manage and resolve issues.
  • Work with managers to assist in making decision on spending.
  • Approve / prepare progress payments.
  • Prepare and deliver reports on KPI's, financial issues, potential disputes.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance, permitting and WCB requirements are met.

Requirements:

  • 5+ year’s progressive experience in technical construction related roles
  • Engineering, Architectural etc. background preferred
  • Proven ability to manage complex project portfolio
  • Excellent relationship building, communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent English language communication skills: verbal, written, interpersonal and negotiation skills. The ability to connect and influence a diverse group of people.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Compensation:

  • $80-90K depending on experience.
