Horizon Recruitment is searching for a Strategic Sourcing Manager to support sourcing for Indirect goods and services required by a large international operation.
The Strategic Sourcing Manager will lead sourcing projects for Technology, Marketing, Facilities, Telecom and professional services and will be required to develop vendor management processes for the portfolio.
This position will require high level interaction with internal stakeholders as well as a key component vendors to ensure critical materials are delivered at competitive prices.
Accountabilities:
- Works collaboratively with manufacturing teams to ensure materials are sourced according to production schedules
- Source and negotiate effectively with key vendors to ensure delivery schedules are met and competitive TCO targets are met.
- Plan and execute sourcing strategies
- Negotiate and manage contract terms. Work closely with vendors to mitigate non conformance issues
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, operations, or equivalent.
- SCMP certification or other equivalent.
- 8+ years sourcing experience within a high paced environment
- 5+ years experience managing indirect procurement
- Experience managing complex contracts including Information technology and professional services.
- Demonstrated experience in sourcing and contract management for multi-year and multi-million dollar contracts
- Experience with ERP Systems such as SAP is preferred.
- Expert in software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills.
