Horizon Recruitment has an immediate requirement for a Corporate Consolidations Accountant reporting to the Manager, Financial Reporting. This role plays a key role in the external financial reporting, consolidations process and supports managerial reporting. Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial statements and quarterly note disclosure
- Draft MD&A for the consolidated operations quarterly
- Responsible for monthly consolidation process including journal entries
- Manage master data and maintain ownership to ensure effective consolidation process
- Prepare and analyze reconciliations for currency translation
- Prepare legal entity statutory financial statements
- Continually improve processes and efficiencies related to the month end close process
Requirements:
- Professional accounting designation with minimum 3 years accounting or reporting experience
- Experience with Consolidations
- Advanced Excel skills and experience building and working with Excel based financial models
- Motivated self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, ability to maintain high level of accuracy and ability to multi-task under pressure is required
- Experience working under ASPE, US GAAP and IFRS
- Experience working with SAP and/or Wdesk systems is a significant asset
