Horizon Recruitment Inc. is searching for an experienced Contract Manager to lead our clients Technology Group. The position requires a senior contract manager with experience managing major technology and professional service contracts and will be responsible for key vendor relationships, running full life cycle RFP's as well as leading negotiations and vendor management processes.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead contract Negotiations and vendor management strategy
  • Developing innovative Sourcing strategies
  • Tactfully negotiate contracts in order to drive optimal value, and terms and conditions
  • In collaboration with the Business stakeholders, develop opportunities to drive cost optimization and operational efficiencies within current and new 3rd party arrangements
  • Provide expertise, recommendations, and risk mitigation strategies to internal and external resources related to the RFx process and Vendor/Contract management activities
  • Build successful relationships with other support functions in order to provide a seamless end-user experience
  • Prioritize and assess the urgency to resolve inquiries and escalations pertaining to Vendor/Contract related matters
  • Effectively manage the Sourcing lifecycle;
  • Stakeholder requirements gathering
  • Build and run RFx’s
  • Document and present RFx results/recommendations to obtain buy-in/approvals from Senior Leadership
  • Support Vendor onboarding as needed


Must Have:

  • 10 Years experience managing IT / technology procurement and vendor management projects
  • Degree or diploma in Business Management or related discipline, OR 5 years’ experience in technology Sourcing, including but not limited to;
  • Strong Contract management and Negotiation experience
  • End-to-End Sourcing Lifecycle Management
  • Vendor and Risk Management
  • Data Management and Analysis
  • Certified Procurement Professional (CPP) or Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation an asset
  • Effective listening, comprehension and communication skills (Oral and Written)
  • Highly competent in building strong relationships with internal clients and vendor representatives.
  • Familiarity with Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) is an asset
