Horizon Recruitment Inc. is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor with strong leadership skills for a large Lower Mainland client. This is a great opportunity to lead a large high volume team of AP Clerks.
Reporting to the Controller, you will be responsible for managing the GL function for the corporate head office and North American Operations. This role will manage the full cycle accounting process including complex reconciliations and consolidations. The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong management background coupled with strong technical ability. You will be responsible for coordinating the full cycle AP process and working with a variety of departments to ensure that payments are made on time. You will bring a sense of customer service to every interaction as you respond to all vendor inquiries and ensure that all issues are resolved or passed up to Senior Management. You will use your experience and expertise to drive, develop and implement accounts payable process improvements. The ideal candidate for this role will be comfortable taking a hands on approach while also taking ownership over the leadership and mentorship of the team.
- 5+ years' experience in an accounts payable role with a leadership component
- Previous supervisory experience is required with a demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a large team
- Superior communication and people management skills
- Previous experience with large ERP systems
