Accounting Manager with ref. 4189

Horizon Recruitment is currently seeking an Accounting Manager with a background in Receivables, Revenue and Treasury for one of our large public sector clients. The Accounting Manager will lead a small team and build strong relationships within the organization.

Job Description:
Reporting to a Director, the Accounting Manager will manage relationships with financial institutions and control internal access to banking systems. This role will be responsible for the creation of detailed cash flow forecasts and manage cash flows to affiliate organizations. The ideal candidate will also prepare ratio analysis related to AR and ensure that AR cash collections are maximized. A strong accounting background with detailed knowledge of Canadian GAAP is essential for this role.

Requirements:

An accounting designation (CA, CGA, CMA) and 5+ years in a similar role with managerial experience
Superior knowledge of Canadian GAAP
Exposure to public sector accounting principles is an asset
Knowledge of large ERP systems (SAP, PeopleSoft)
