Horizon Recruitment Inc. is conducting a search for a Treasury Analys t to join our large publicly traded client. This is a newly created role as they are growing the treasury function. We are looking for someone with 2-3 years of experience in either public practice or a treasury role with strong excel skills and a keen interest in treasury.

Responsibilities:

• Lead various treasury functions including cash management strategies and liquidity and debt covenants reporting
• Undertake administrator-responsibilities for global banking and ongoing maintenance of effective internal controls and procedures
• Analyze and communicate financial information, ensuring reporting is reliable and understandable
• Assist in the Company’s full-cycle accounting process including the preparation of monthly journal entries, GL reconciliations, and corporate head office monthly / quarterly financial reports
• Facilitate Corporate’s intercompany process regarding intercompany loans, investments and cost reimbursements
• Contribute to or lead long-term projects related to finance functions and systems
• Support for other accounting and administrative functions as assigned

Requirements:

• In possession of a recognized university degree with a specialization in accounting or business with at least two years of relevant work experience
• Treasury and/or bank administration experience would be a plus but is not required
• Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel to organize and summarize large amounts of data
• An open and articulate communicator with strong analysis, presentation and written communication skills
• An individual not afraid to bring forth innovative ideas and be considered an enabler who champions best practices to promote organizational effectiveness. 
• Demonstrates a commitment to quality performance, continual improvement, elimination of waste, attention to detail, and adherence to deadlines
• Capable of working independently and autonomously while at the same time contributes effectively as a member of the finance management team; considers themselves a major contributor in the achievement of operational and financial goals
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Enjoys working in a dynamic, yet supportive, team environment. Has an outgoing approachable style with a proven ability to develop proactive partnership across all organizational levels

Rewards:

• $70,000-$75,000
