Horizon Recruitment is recruiting for a Supervisor, Procurement and Contracts to support our Junior Mining client as they ramp up towards the development of key assets. This role is essential to ensuring the consistent delivery of high-performing, standardized contracts and procurement systems across multiple exploration and development projects.
Working closely with multiple teams, the role will champion best practices, coach junior team members, and ensure smooth onboarding and continuous improvement across a multi-national project portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and improve contracts and procurement management systems and procedures.
- Guide project teams in effectively applying the processes.
- Ensure alignment with organizational standards and drive continuous improvement.
- Provide hands-on support to drilling and exploration teams, project setup, execution, and closeout phases.
- Conduct audits and reviews to ensure compliance and identify areas for optimization.
- Support onboarding and training for new personnel, building their capability from day one.
- Act as a liaison between the Contracts and Procurement function and the Continuous Improvement team.
- Support department administration, including budget's and expense tracking.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in contracts and procurement within infrastructure project environments.
- 5+ years in leadership roles.
- Graduate degree in a relevant field; MBA, PMP etc. is an asset.
- Strong experience with project software (P6, Sharepoint etc.).
- Advanced knowledge of procurement systems, standards, and project setup best practices.
- Proven ability to lead onboarding, training, and career development programs.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish required.
Remuneration
- $140,000 base salary + bonus and benefits
