Horizon Recruitment is currently seeking a Strategic Sourcing Specialist with proven expertise in strategic sourcing and category management. This role will focus on sourcing, leasing, maintenance, and procurement of critical project equipment for a major client initiative.
This is a one-year contract role with strong potential for extension. The successful candidate will join a collaborative and forward-thinking team, working within a hybrid model.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with internal stakeholders to define and prioritize sourcing requirements aligned with long-term business strategies.
- Supplier performance, contract management, Supplier Relationship and Performance Management (SRPM) including supplier scorecards, addressing cost of poor performance, executing cost recovery activities, contract execution and management, etc.
- Lead and execute all phases of the sourcing lifecycle to meet project timelines and strategic goals.
- Monitor adherence to sourcing strategies, ensuring compliance with business processes.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration in supplier evaluation, negotiation, and contract implementation.
- Oversee full contract management lifecycle with proactive administration and support for internal users.
- Manage supplier performance and assist in resolving performance-related issues as they arise.
- Provide insight into corporate needs and market trends to recommend process improvements in sourcing and contracting.
- Identify and drive opportunities to strengthen supplier capabilities and internal sourcing processes.
- Analyze and report performance metrics for assigned categories and key initiatives.
- Foster collaboration across departments to support strategic sourcing and category management goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
Requirements:
- Deep knowledge of major equipment lease agreements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline.
- 5+ years of category management experience in procurement of goods and contract services.
- Strong background in strategic planning, project management, and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data and forecast trends for strategic advantage.
- Proven track record in supplier negotiation and relationship management.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence across all organizational levels.
- Highly organized and skilled at managing multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, and Project).
- Strong aptitude for data analysis, logic, and process optimization.
Rewards:
- Hourly Rate: $65 – $75/hr (Candidates with advanced sourcing experience may command higher rates.)
