Horizon Recruitment is recruiting for a Senior Analyst, Corporate Development to join a high-performing strategic team at a major Canadian organization. This role supports key investment, growth, and business transformation decisions across a global operation. As the company expands and elevates its internal capabilities, this position plays a critical role in shaping the business case for major capital and strategic initiatives. Reporting to the Manager of Corporate Development, the Senior Analyst will bring a blend of strong financial analysis and commercial judgment to help drive corporate growth.
Responsibilities
- Build and assess financial models to evaluate major investments, partnerships, and strategic initiatives
- Prepare business cases, presentations, and recommendations for senior leadership
- Work cross-functionally with operations, finance, and strategy teams to gather insights and develop analyses
- Conduct industry, market, and competitor research to support corporate decision-making
- Present complex information in clear, concise formats to support executive-level discussions
- Contribute to project management for key corporate development initiatives
- Help mentor and raise the standard of analytical thinking across the team
- Support preparation of materials for executive committees and board-level reviews
- Identify risks, sensitivities, and opportunities in investment proposals
- Participate in the development and improvement of internal valuation and analysis frameworks
- Support M&A activities, including due diligence and integration planning
Requirements
- 3-6 years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, management consulting, or a similar strategic role
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with a business-first mindset
- Proven ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to senior stakeholders
- Demonstrated commercial acumen and ability to “think beyond the spreadsheet”
- Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-changing environments
- Experience developing or presenting strategic business cases to executive audiences
- High level of integrity, curiosity, and critical thinking
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- CPA, CFA, or MBA considered assets but not required
Remuneration
- Salary range: $120,000 to $150,000
- Target bonus: 15%
