Quality Controller Supervisor

Horizon Recruitment is recruiting for a Quality Control Supervisor to support the integrity of a well-established manufacturing quality program. This role is responsible for ensuring products meet ASME, National Board, ISO, and customer quality requirements while driving compliance, supporting continuous improvement, and partnering closely with production teams to deliver safe, high-quality work.


Responsibilities:

  • Support the administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the ASME Quality Control System.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain Manufacturing Data Reports (MDRs), quality records, and required Code documentation.
  • Coordinate quality activities related to material traceability, welding qualifications, NDE, heat treatment, pressure testing, inspections, and certification requirements.
  • Verify compliance by reviewing material certifications, fabrication records, inspection reports, and supporting documentation.
  • Work closely with Authorized Inspectors, customers, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies throughout the inspection process.
  • Participate in internal and external audits while supporting corrective actions, non-conformance investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide guidance to production teams on quality standards, Code requirements, and best practices.
  • Support ISO 9001, CWB, and other quality management system requirements.
  • Help maintain a culture of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance across manufacturing operations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum five years of experience working within ASME Section I and/or Section VIII Division 1 quality programs.
  • Strong knowledge of ASME Section IX and National Board requirements.
  • Experience preparing, reviewing, or managing Manufacturing Data Reports (MDRs) and ASME Code documentation.
  • Solid understanding of material traceability, welding qualifications, NDE documentation, pressure testing, and inspection processes.
  • Experience working with Authorized Inspectors and supporting ASME audits.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, codes, and industry standards.
  • Understanding of CWB Welding Codes 47.1 and 47.2 or Welding Inspector certification is considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.

Remuneration:

  • Base Salary of $75,000 - $90,000
