Procurement Specialist

Horizon Recruitment is recruiting for a Procurement Specialist to support strategic sourcing and supplier management across multiple sites. This role plays a key part in driving cost savings, improving procurement processes, and supporting operational efficiency. Working closely with the Procurement Manager and local business leaders, you’ll help secure high-value goods and services while ensuring supplier performance and compliance with company policies.


Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day procurement activities across assigned categories, ensuring alignment with category strategy and internal policies
  • Build strong partnerships with local operations to anticipate needs and deliver optimal sourcing solutions
  • Support RFx and contracting processes for both operational and capital purchases, ensuring policy compliance
  • Analyze complex datasets using BI tools and Excel to uncover cost-saving opportunities and performance trends
  • Create clear, actionable reporting to guide decisions for Procurement and Operations teams
  • Assist in negotiating local contracts in coordination with Procurement and Category Managers
  • Monitor supplier performance and maintain effective supplier relationships, especially in equipment and maintenance services
  • Ensure internal controls are followed and procurement activities support business objectives
  • Track and report savings achievements in accordance with category and corporate guidelines
  • Promote health, safety, and environmental compliance in all procurement practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • 3–5 years of procurement experience, including exposure to sourcing, supply chain, and data analysis
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with BI tools such as Power BI
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving, deadline-driven environment
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and navigating conflicting priorities
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel legally to the U.S.
  • SAP experience and industry product knowledge are assets

Competitive salary with benefits, including pension plan. $85k base salary
