Procurement and Contracts Analyst

Horizon Recruitment is recruiting for a Project Procurement & Contracts Analyst to support a major project team within a globally recognized organization. This role is designed for an individual looking to build a long-term career in procurement, contracts, and project delivery while gaining exposure to large-scale capital projects and experienced industry professionals. Reporting to senior procurement and contracts leaders, you will play a key role in supporting purchasing activities, contract administration, vendor management, and project documentation. Initially a 12month contract, this position offers exceptional mentorship, hands-on experience, and the opportunity to contribute to high-profile projects while developing valuable commercial and project management skills.


Responsibilities

  • Support full lifecycle procurement and contracting activities for capital projects
  • Assist with the development and administration of EPCM agreements, contracts, and procurement documentation
  • Prepare and coordinate RFP and RFQ packages for project-related purchases and services
  • Support contract negotiations by assisting with commercial reviews and contractual documentation
  • Maintain contract databases, ensuring pricing, terms, milestones, and expiry dates remain accurate and current
  • Track procurement commitments, contract deliverables, and project obligations
  • Manage document control activities, including revision management and records retention
  • Obtain approvals and signatures for contractual documentation and amendments
  • Assist with vendor communications and respond to routine supplier inquiries
  • Prepare reports, trackers, and supporting documentation for project and procurement teams
  • Support contract administration activities following contract award
  • Collaborate with project teams to support execution planning and procurement strategies
  • Assist in the development and improvement of procurement policies, procedures, templates, and best practices
  • Review commercial proposals and supporting documentation for completeness and compliance
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance procurement and contract management processes

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in procurement, contracts administration, supply chain, or project support roles
  • Experience supporting projects within construction, engineering, infrastructure, mining, energy, or other project-based industries is preferred
  • Degree or diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or a related discipline
  • Strong attention to detail and experience reviewing technical or contractual documentation
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong database management capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Comfortable working with contracts, procurement documentation, and project records
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with project teams and stakeholders
  • Responsive, adaptable, and able to manage changing project requirements
  • Experience with document management systems, ERP platforms, or procurement systems is considered an asset
