JUST HR is recruiting for an HSEC Project Analyst to support the health, safety, environment, and community (HSEC) efforts at a major industrial project site in British Columbia. This six-month contract role plays a key part in ensuring compliance, promoting safety culture, and leveraging data to improve project outcomes. Working directly with the HSEC team, this position helps drive continuous improvement across construction activities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop statistical HSE reporting for weekly, monthly, and quarterly updates
• Analyze safety and quality trends; support initiatives to reduce risk and improve performance
• Automate field inspections, checklists, and audit processes using digital tools
• Track training records and link them to project dashboards in coordination with third-party systems
• Create and distribute project HSE communications tied to trends and regulatory requirements
• Support compliance with permits, commitments, and contractor safety documentation
• Help maintain HSE Management System and ensure alignment with best practices
• Develop and update dashboards for HSEC, construction, and quality metrics
• Participate in contractor bid assessments by reviewing HSE statistics and programs
• Assist with industrial hygiene sampling and safety data management

Requirements

• 5+ years of HSE experience in a similar role preferred; HSE Analyst experience may be considered
• HSE certification or Health and Safety Administration designation preferred (e.g., Safe Work BC, ACSA)
• Proficient in Power BI, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with safety administration software and automated reporting tools
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and adapt in a dynamic project environment
• Valid driver's license and clean abstract

Remuneration

• Hourly pay rate $40-45/hr
