Horizon Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced CPA-designated finance leader to lead the Canadian finance function for a growing organization.
This role has two important priorities. First, you will lead and develop a team of four finance professionals, assessing the team's current capabilities and helping shape the structure, skills, and responsibilities needed to support the future of the business. This may involve coaching and developing existing team members, redefining responsibilities, or evolving the team structure as the organization grows.
Second, you will bring leadership to a finance function that is undergoing significant change. With a systems implementation underway and several processes that are currently inconsistent or not clearly defined, you will have the opportunity to establish better ways of working, improve controls, standardize processes, and create a more scalable finance operation.
Alongside these priorities, you will oversee financial reporting, controls, compliance, planning, and transactional finance while partnering with senior leaders on business performance and strategic decisions.
This is a hybrid position based in Surrey, BC, with one to two days per week in the office.
