Our client, a well known and rapidly growing business based in Leamington is searching for an experienced Supply Chain Planning Manager. The Supply Chain Planning Manager will have the ability to look at the chain from upstream to downstream with both short- and long-term planning in mind. The Supply Planning Manager is accountable for ensuring that the capacity and inventory plans are established in conjunction with demand plans and manufacturing processes to meet business needs.


The role involves establishing an inventory strategy to deliver service goals, and ensuring that capacity plans are developed to support the consensus forecast. The role is one of the key links between the manufacturing facilities and the business teams including Marketing, Sales, Finance, Operations and Customer Service. Supply chain planning manager will look at current processes and determine methods for improvement with regard to cutting costs, controlling and replenishing inventory, and shipping products. He/She will also troubleshoot breakdowns along the chain and respond fluidly to unexpected events.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Set strategic direction for inventory management in line with business growth strategies
  • Manage manufacturing capacity & communicate risk & opportunities
  • Interact with Marketing and Sales to manage the product life cycle including key events and new product innovation
  • Initiate & lead supply prioritization discussions during capacity constrained periods
  • Lead and/or support trouble-shooting and problem resolution for planning issues impacting service
  • Support delivery of financial targets including cost per case, productivity and waste


Qualifications

  • Post-Secondary Degree
  • 5-7 yrs Supply Chain experience in Demand and Supply planning including capacity management
  • Strong SAP expertise
  • Excellent analytical and decision making skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and people management skills
  • Strong project management experience
  • Experience working with virtual teams an asset
