Horizon Recruitment is searching for a Strategic Sourcing Manager to support material sourcing for multiple manufacturing facilities in Asia and central America.
The Strategic Sourcing Manager will develop innovative sourcing strategies and vendor management processes to materials vendors are managed effectively.
This position will require high level interaction with internal stakeholders as well as a key component vendors to ensure critical materials are delivered at competitive prices.
Accountabilities:
- Works collaboratively with manufacturing teams to ensure materials are sourced according to production schedules
- Source and negotiate effectively with key vendors to ensure delivery schedules are met and competitive TCO targets are met.
- Plan and execute sourcing strategies
- Negotiate and manage contract terms. Work closely with vendors to mitigate non conformance issues
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, operations, or equivalent.
- SCMP certification or other equivalent.
- 8+ years sourcing experience within a high paced manufacturing environment
- Experience managing complex contracts for site operations, emergency management or facilities management.
- Demonstrated experience in sourcing and contract management for multi-year and multi-million dollar materials contracts
- Experience with ERP Systems such as SAP is preferred.
- Expert in software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills.
