Horizon Recruitment is currently seeking a Supply Planner who will be a key player in introducing new products across Canada and the US.
This role comes with a high degree of accountability, and is critical to the success of the bottom line.
Responsibilities:
- Interact with Marketing, Demand Planning, Procurement, Operations and Suppliers to implement medium to long term supply plans
- Work with suppliers on the availability of product, production planning, and raw material lead times
- Introduce new and exciting products into our distribution network
- Implement and monitor safety stock levels
- Responsible for a specific category across Canada and the US
- Reduce waste by managing inventory obsolescence
- Be the voice of the supply chain at cross-functional meetings
- Uncover the root cause of supply chain issues/variances and develop action plans to make sure they don’t happen again
- Create and implement Standard Operating Procedures to share knowledge
- Be accountable through KPIs (service levels, forecast accuracy, inventory levels, etc)
- Manage side projects like cost/benefit analysis
Qualifications:
Education/Experience/Competencies:
- Undergraduate degree in business, science or engineering preferred
- 2 Years of experience in supply chain (demand and/or supply planning experience is an asset)
- Knowledge of CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods)
