Horizon Recruitment Inc. has been engaged by a large, local real estate developer to identify an experienced Development Accountant to help as the company continues to grow. The Senior Development Accountant will work with Senior Management to oversee all financial matters for a portfolio of development projects at various stages.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain monthly proformas, bank draws, budgets, and forecasts
- Prepare cash flow, projecting cash requirements through the remaining project
- Prepare monthly reconciliations, working papers, and financial statements
- Work closely with Project Managers to ensure budgets are adhered to and variances are reported
Requirements:
- A professional accounting designation (CPA, CGA, CMA, CA) or enrolment in the program
- Strong technology skills, specifically with Excel and Timberline/Sage 300
- 2+ years of experience in development accounting
- Experience in the real estate industry is strongly preferred
- Interpersonal savvy and the ability to speak comfortably with and present to senior executives
