Horizon Recruitment Inc. has been engaged to recruit a Senior Category Manager for one of growing clients fast paced business units. Our client is undertaking a supply chain transformation program and requires a seasoned SCM leader to help drive the appropriate programs and changes in the business. This Category Manager will develop strategies and implement plans related to sourcing, process optimization, supplier relationship management, and contracts management.
Recognized duties:
- Develops and implements contracts strategies for all O&M spend across the organization;
- Solid understanding of rotating equipment contracts sourcing and performance management to drive sustainable value and efficiencies;
- Perform end to end sourcing inclusive of development of sourcing strategy, market assessments, supplier prequalification (RFP / RFX), evaluation, negotiation and contract execution
- Negotiate relevant contract terms with suppliers within the defined legal parameters;
- Perform needs and spend analysis for the relevant area;
- Collaborate with BU (Operations and Asset Reliability, Process Team, Environmental Department) to align and drive negotiation of contracts;
- Drives Total Cost of Ownership and executes cost savings for O&M category;
- Support / establish and execute the supplier performance management plan;
Requirements:
- Strong medium/ large project based and change management experience
- 8-10 years of progressive supply chain experience including proven category management success within the mechanical equipment category
- Strategic business development experience within a complex business environment
- Experienced with formal project management methods
- Well-developed analysis and risk management capabilities
- Proven capability to drive process improvements within a category management model
