Horizon Recruitment is conducting a search for a Senior Accounts Receivable Professional with our growing client in the valley. If you're looking for an opportunity with a strong, growing, stable organization closer to home this is a great opportunity. The Senior AR Professional will support a growing team and their ability to adapt in a growing company while developing solutions as they are required. As items require escalation you'll be a key problem solver working with the Accounting Manager to ensure service levels are met and the workflow is maintained. You're strong with systems, MS Excel and have a creative mindset.


Responsibilities:

  • Works with the Manager to monitor and streamline AR related processes, identifies improvement areas and implements action plans.
  • Ensures the timely, efficient and accurate processing of all accounts receivable transactions.
  • Applies receipts, sets up payment plans, and assists in the collection of outstanding receivables.
  • Responds to queries from our internal and external customers in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assists in complex problem resolution and troubleshoots non-standard AR-related problems.
  • Maintains positive internal and external relationships with customers through formal and informal communications.
  • Assists with ad-hoc reporting, analysis and team projects as needed.

 Requirements:

  • 3 years’ experience in a high volume dynamic Accounts Receivable department
  • Post-Secondary training in Accounting, Business and understanding of accounting processes
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and comfortable learning and using new applications including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.
  • Exemplary oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to identify, resolve and / or escalate issues using good professional judgement
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and to exercise discretion
