Horizon Recruitment has been engaged to identify a Senior Corporate Accountant for a growing organization in the Real Estate and Investment industry. They are in a beautiful office with great views located in downtown Vancouver. This company is looking for someone who can take on a wide variety of work from the very hands on transactional full cycle duties through to helping with financial statement preparation.
Responsibilites:
The Senior Corporate Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the day-to-day accounting for the corporate head office and will review the outsourced monthly financial statements prepared by property management firms. You will work closely with the Controller to support the preparation of quarterly financial statements and management reporting. You will also have the opportunity to take on more senior work as time goes on (help with budgeting, variance analysis etc). You will be an integral team member and will play a key role in the financial reporting function of the organization. You will be part of a small team but also an individual contributor capable of performing in a growing environment.
Requirements:
- CPA designation or working towards completion of CPA
- Experience in a public company environment would be an asset
- Hands on full cycle accounting
- Experience in real estate or investment is a bonus
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Good problem solving, analytical and trouble-shooting abilities
