Horizon Recruitment is conducting the search for an experienced Production Planner to join our growing client in the Vancouver area. The position will join a small team looking after inventory, logistics and finished goods planning and will focus on developing robust strategies to ensure continued support of the organisations growth plans.
Responsibilities:
- Manage raw material and contract manufacturing relationships to ensure fulfilment of sales orders to international clients
- Work with sales and product development teams to plan inventory requirements
- Manage spare parts inventory to ensure minimal downtime for clients
- Perform materials quality audits and manage corrective action where required
- Assist with creation BOM and ongoing management, updates
- Expedite material and equipment PO’s
- Manage supplier relationships
- Coordinate logistics of finished goods and spare parts
- Inventory management / inventory counts
- Coordinate warehouse renovation and layout
Requirements:
- 5+ years in a supply chain planning or material related role with a Manufacturing operation
- Experience working with contract manufacturers
- Strong planning and inventory management experience
- Experience working within a start-up environment where requirements are rapidly changing
- Advanced Excel skills
- Logistics and expediting experience
- Strong customer service skills
- APICS CPIM / SCMP designation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
