Horizon Recruitment is conducting the search for an experienced Production Planner to join our growing client in the Vancouver area. The position will join a small team looking after inventory, logistics and finished goods planning and will focus on developing robust strategies to ensure continued support of the organisations growth plans.


Responsibilities

  • Manage raw material and contract manufacturing relationships to ensure fulfilment of sales orders to international clients
  • Work with sales and product development teams to plan inventory requirements
  • Manage spare parts inventory to ensure minimal downtime for clients
  • Perform materials quality audits and manage corrective action where required
  • Assist with creation BOM and ongoing management, updates
  • Expedite material and equipment PO’s
  • Manage supplier relationships
  • Coordinate logistics of finished goods and spare parts
  • Inventory management / inventory counts
  • Coordinate warehouse renovation and layout


Requirements

  • 5+ years in a supply chain planning or material related role with a Manufacturing operation
  • Experience working with contract manufacturers
  • Strong planning and inventory management experience
  • Experience working within a start-up environment where requirements are rapidly changing
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Logistics and expediting experience
  • Strong customer service skills
  • APICS CPIM / SCMP designation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
