Procurement Specialist

Horizon Recruitment Inc has an immediate need for an experienced Procurement Specialist for a permanent position based in Vancouver with our large BC based client. The organisation requires a procurement professional with strong experience within a large scale civil construction environment. 

This position will play a key role in the sourcing of vendors for construction services, major equipment and materials purchases. You will work with engineering and project management teams to define requirements and will develop and manage RFP and RFQ documents for these work packages. You will assist with bid evaluations, contract drafts and contract negotiations. 

Requirements:

• Familiar working within a high paced procurement environment
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Strong RFP, RFQ and Contract preparation experience
• Strong vendor development, management and contract administration skills
• Proven procurement and contracts experience to ensure risk mitigation, cost savings, and vendor excellence
• Strong negotiation skills
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a project environment
• PMAC/SCMP or CPP designation will be highly valued
