Horizon Recruitment is searching for a Procurement Partner to join our client's supply chain team as they implement new processes and systems aligned with their corporate objectives. In this role, the Procurement Partner will execute Procurement activity between the supply Chain and Finance groups. You will also manage the relationship and consult on continuous improvement between all stakeholders.


Responsibilities:

  • Identifying sources of supply for goods & services 
  • Assisting senior procurement team members in preparing tenders and requests for proposal packages
  • Identify opportunities for vendors, and continuous improvement to streamline procurement activities
  • Collaborate with Procurement and Finance to drive requirements effectively and efficiently
  • Review supplier quotes
  • Monitor and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve high service levels
  • Provide unique solutions to customer issues to meet their objectives
  • Manage and update vendor data in various systems 
  • Proactively build and maintain strong relationships
  • Assist in the creation of KPI’s and targets to meet business objectives


Requirements:

  • 2+ of relevant purchasing experience in a high paced environment 
  • Experience in Public sector procurement considered a strong asset
  • Strong knowledge of Facilities and construction (3+ years experience) 
  • Fundamental purchasing knowledge, including contract information, negotiation
  • Enrollment in, or completion of, a diploma and/or certificate program in supply chain management is an asset 
  • Experience with an ERP system
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Ability to organize, schedule tasks and handle deadlines 
  • Strong multitasking skills 
  • Ability to take direction
