Horizon Recruitment Inc has an immediate need for a Procurement & Logistics Coordinator to join our manufacturing client's HQ in Richmond, BC. The role will work closely with the Procurement Manager to coordinate procurement and logistics projects involving a large number of production facilities. This individual will also assist with analysis of procurement and logistics needs across various facilities in North America, identifying trends and opportunities to better support both internal and external clients.
Responsibilities:
- Support planning and operation of purchasing and logistics functions
- Assist with Transportation Management Software (TMS) and coordinate logistics support for various facilities
- Analyze purchasing and logistics needs, and create plans to ensure optimal execution
- Perform in-depth data analysis and provide meaningful recommendations to relevant stakeholders
- Manage relationships with external suppliers/vendors
- Evaluate vendor performance and create KPIs to ensure consistent service level
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and an increase in overall operational efficiency
- Liaise with multiple stakeholders to ensure TMS information is up to date and operating efficiently
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or Operations
- 2-3 years of purchasing and logistics experience
- Manufacturing experience is preferable
- Strong analytical skills combined with advanced Excel skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong systems experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel occasionally to facilities in the USA
- Ability to work both independently as well as in a team environment
