Horizon Recruitment Inc. is conducting a search for a Junior Accountant/Financial Analyst to join one of our top tier clients on a growing team that provides analysis, treasury and banking expertise and support to a growing and complex business. This team is looking for a high performer earlier in their accounting career who can grow with the business.
Initially a contract opportunity this role has the potential to convert to a permanent role in the future.
Responsibilities:
The Junior Accountant/Financial Analyst will support the finance team and requires an individual who is quick on their feet, adapts easily to change and has a can-do attitude. This is an exceptional opportunity to gain a significant depth of experience in a dynamic and analytical environment.
Requirements:
- Post-Secondary degree in a related field with a strong academic record
- Interest in, or in the early stages of pursuing a CPA designation
- Strong technical aptitude with some experience in Excel, and ideally BI tools
- Self-motivated, results driven and able to work independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to build relationships with external parties in a face to face setting and over the phone
- Time management and planning skills with an orientation towards progression and growth
