Horizon Recruitment Inc. has an immediate need for a Junior Accountant to help support a growing manufacturing and distribution company located in Langley. The Junior Accountant will work closely with the Senior Accountant to manage all day to day accounting duties.
Responsibilities:
- Full cycle accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Manage all customer matters including invoicing, billing, claims and credit transactions
- Prepare and enter journal entries, and perform bank and inter company reconciliations
- Assist with inventory and costing analysis
- Assist with year-end working papers
- Month-end reporting as required
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience preferred
- CPA student or equivalent experience in industry
- Thorough knowledge of accepted accounting rules, practices and reporting requirements
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a proactive approach to managing projects & issues
- Someone who takes pride in their work with strong attention to detail
