Horizon Recruitment is currently seeking an Inventory Control Manager for one of our Lower Mainland clients.

 

As Inventory Manager your primary responsibility is to develop and implement policies and processes to effectively manage inventory across multiple warehouses and manufacturing locations.

 

The ideal candidate will have experience improving the count and control processes through process improvement, change management, strategic compliance / accountability of internal staff and our internal and external customers.

 

You will liaise closely with Finance, Supply Chain and external auditing teams to develop and maintain robust inventory control practices and will be responsible for leadership across the organizations operations.

 

Responsibilities

  • Support the VP, Operations and supply chain teams with accurate and reliable reporting on inventory, logistics and delivery items.
  • Ensuring SOX compliance as it pertains to inventory management
  • Work with the Controller and external audit teams to create and develop inventory management processes and controls, ensure accurate cash management and costing information is available on demand
  • Ensure inventory requirements are met accurately on time with the appropriate quantities to enable project management to deliver according to planned targets
  • Work with contract manufacturers and material vendors to develop robust and consistent processes


Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in inventory management within a multi-site, international network
  • Bachelors degree within operations, business or engineering disciplines along with inventory based designation / MBA etc.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain business processes that deliver value to the Supply Chain, Operations, & Project Delivery.
  • Experience developing and implementing inventory management and cycle count processes
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, & Word); Experience using and implementing ERP/MRP systems
  • Strong understanding of financial management, accounting concepts and controls as they pertain to inventory management
  • Proven quality and/or process management experience
  • Must be meticulous and detail oriented
  • Must be highly organized and work well with others
  • Clear, concise and effective communicator. Confident leadership that allows for team collaboration
