Horizon Recruitment has an immediate need for a seasoned International Statutory Filing Consultant to assist one of our large international enterprise clients with a backlog of work on the reporting team. We're looking for a skilled individual who has international statutory reporting experience

 

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the preparation of and review of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements prepared in accordance with local in-country statutory guidelines
  • Monitors new financial reporting and regulatory requirements, including interpretations of local in-country guidance and application within the company's financial reporting process
  • Reviews and approves complex statutory journal entries
  • Serves as liaison on various projects related to the international subsidiaries
  • Investigates and/or reviews new or changed policies and procedures to provide better financial management, to maximize efficiency and improve internal control
  • Effectively communicates accounting and finance processes, results and decisions 
  • Develops and implements effective and efficient recommendations
  • Manages multiple priorities, establishes workflows and meets necessary deadlines

Qualifications

  • CPA designation 
  • 4-7 Years experience in finance and accounting with in depth knowledge and experience in statutory reporting for global companies
  • Big 4 Internal/External auditor experience or extensive experience in large multinational and/or publicly traded companies required
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in corporate statutory accounting, public accounting or corporate reporting
  • Experience managing complex and high risk situations
  • Deep international reporting experience and/or IFRS knowledge 
  • Must be highly organized and possess strong attention to detail
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects/tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across diverse audiences
