Horizon Recruitment is on the search for a Director, Supply Chain Planning. This role is responsible for leading the planning and execution of all supply chain initiatives. Leading the end-to-end supply planning process including demand planning, supply planning, innovation planning, logistics and costumes clearance, Supply Chain Planning Director is accountable for fill rate performance.

The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills as you will work very closely with marketing functions, operations team, distribution centers, and vendors to introduce new promotional items to our restaurants as well as balancing supply and demand across our network which includes company-operated distribution centers and 3PLs.

Key Business Functions, Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

P&L responsibilities:

  • Logistics (inbound) costs
  • Expedites
  • Inventory write-offs

Demand Planning:

  • Forecast accuracy for all SKUs across the network
  • Promotional items forecast and S&OP process

Supply Planning:

  • Develop plans and execute orders to ensure sufficient supply of Food, Paper, Equipment and small wares material in North America
  • Oversee inbound product flow and inter DC moves to all distribution centers (company-owned and 3PLs)
  • Contingency planning and execution for any supply disruptions

Inventory Management:

  • Accountability for national inventory levels, inventory turns, and right-sizing across the extended chain
  • Accountable for risk mitigation and overall management of obsolete inventory according to budgeted targets

Logistics:

  • Manage transportation budget of $50m
  • Manage Transportation partners service level including on-time execution
  • Develop coach and mentor the Supply Chain Planning team
  • Develop and deploy overall team goals and MBOs linked to company strategy
  • Coach and develop Supply Chain Planning team
  • Mentor development of individual team members

Minimum Requirements:

  • 7+ years’ relevant work experience in supply network planning, inventory management and/or transportation in Retail, CPG or Food Service.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in supply chain, accounting or finance
  • Knowledge of Excel and SAP
  • High level of analytical skill and judgment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Problem Solving and Decision-Making Skills
  • Strong customer focus and process orientation
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
