Horizon Recruitment is working with a high-profile oil & gas organization to identify their next Interim Director of Supply Chain who will be in their Calgary AB, HQ. This position is responsible for the Supply Chain organization and continued leadership and transformation of the supply chain. The successful candidate will be a seasoned supply chain executive with strong procurement, contracts, and logistics experience. This position will start as a 2-month contract with potential for extension.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with vendors, external service providers, and internal teams to identify and implement opportunities for supply chain efficiency improvements, cost reductions, and materials management
- Leverage supply chain modelling to provide exceptional external and internal customer service levels
- Ensure continuous improvement throughout the Supply Chain
- Promote professional growth among team members through challenging and rewarding goals
- Identify and exploit opportunities for improvement using analytics and performance metrics
- Promote cost effectiveness and efficiency within the group
Requirements:
- Strategic supply chain leader with 10+ years of varied and relevant experience across supply chain functions
- 7+ years’ experience at a senior management or director level in a high paced oil & gas environment
- A Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Business or Engineering); MBA a plus
- Strong team building, collaboration and management skills
- Demonstrated experience with ERP optimization (SAP preferred)
- Success using analytics and technology to promote data driven decision making
- Superior negotiation skills for use inside and outside the company
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Innovative thinking and a drive to be proactive
- Demonstrated ability creating a shared vision and building consensus
