Horizon Recruitment Inc. is conducting the search for a Procurement and Contracts Specialist for a hands-on role which will manage corporate procurement, vendor sourcing and contract management. The role will also manage contract negotiations for a wide variety of services and partnerships under the organisation’s mandate. This position requires an individual with experience coordinating multiple internal stakeholders and vendors supplying a wide variety of corporate services and supplies.
Job Description:
- Source vendors through formal RFP/RFQ process
- Manage contract negotiations for professional services
- Lead strategic sourcing and vendor reviews
- Manage contract negotiations with regional and industry partners
- Establish and manage strategic relationships with suppliers
- Manage vendor assessment and related documentation
- Work with multiple internal departments to coordinate and prioritize vendor reviews and sourcing projects
- Manage department budgets and provide monthly reporting on budget allocations and forecasts
Requirements:
- Post-Secondary education in Finance, Operations or Supply Chain Management
- Experience working within a structured and formal procurement environment
- Experience with Government / Public procurement process is an asset
- 5+ years progressive experience with procurement and contract management of professional services
- Proven ability to manage complex contract negotiations
- Strong Excel skills with the ability to create complex spreadsheets to assist the supply chain and finance functions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
