Horizon Recruitment Inc. is conducting a search for a Corporate Accountant to join a growing retail company with a significant presence across North America. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities. Responsibilities:
- Assist with financial reporting for a growing values-based organization
- Fixed Asset reporting and monthly reconciliations for inter-company and G/L accounts
- Preparation and posting of monthly journal entries
- Assistance with month-end reporting requirements
- Ensure the balance sheet is fully supported and record-keeping is maintained in good order
- Identify, resolve and/or implement changes related to accounting and control issues inherent in business processes
Requirements:
- Completion or actively pursuing and nearly complete recognized accounting designation (CPA, CA, CGA, CMA)
- 3-5 years of industry experience in accounting
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially MS Excel
- Excellent organizational skills with an ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing work environment
- Advanced customer service experience and problem-solving abilities
