Horizon Recruitment Inc. has been engaged on a search for a Controller for a local non-profit organization. This is a backfill position due to a recent promotion within the company. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and the efficient management of financial resources. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and potential areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with Canadian accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Streamline and optimize financial processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Lead and mentor the finance team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of experience with a minimum of 5 years of management experience.
- CPA Designation
- Background in small to medium sized organizations would be considered an asset.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Strong leadership abilities and experience managing a finance team.
Rewards:
- $110,000 to $125,000
