Our Client is one of the largest Energy Producers in Ontario is currently seeking a number of Contracts Administrators on a Contract basis.  


Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and manage key supplier relationships and meet with Sr. Management to review historical performance
  • Manage supplier audits and formal performance evaluations
  • Assist in the development & execution of Commercial and Contract Services and Materials procurement strategies with strategic suppliers
  • Assemble, negotiate and administer long-term and/or strategic agreements for services and materials and in some case lead in negotiating major and minor contracts
  • Create & manage real-time processes & metrics for continuous improvement related to Supply Chain strategy affected by changing trends & patterns
  • Assist in developing methodologies & perform detailed analyses of market trends to identify over or under capacity within the global supply base to effectively manage supply strategies. This includes sourcing, supplier integration, performance, and new technologies that drive innovation
  • Develop methodologies & analyze Supply Chain to segment Suppliers into appropriate strategic quadrants that impact the business
  • Identify innovative links to and/or impacts to the business and structure value-add total cost partnering strategies through multi-year relationships that are measurable by positively impacting; safety, availability, risk reduction, price, security of supply, life cycle, and process efficiencies
  • Negotiate for selected strategic, services or materials or asset disposal transactions
  • Assist in developing and implementing supply strategies;

Experience:

  • Requires knowledge and experience in demand planning, and developing and maintain benefits tracking tools to measure and monitor cost saving through sourcing agreements, price negotiations and cost avoidance in negotiating long-term and strategic agreements with suppliers
  • Requires experience related to commercial aspects of contracts, contract law, demand planning and forecasting, in the negotiating of long-term contracts with suppliers
  • Experience with commercial strategy development and commercial negotiations
  • Experience with and ability to engage and collaborate with stakeholders  – including with business areas, executive and suppliers

  • Understanding of the project lifecycle
  • This knowledge is considered to be normally acquired either through the completion of a (4) four-year university education in an appropriate field, such as Law, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, business administration, or by having the equivalent level of education plus professional designations such as: P.Eng, PMP, SCMP, PQS, MRICS or MBA)
