Horizon Recruitment Inc. has been exclusively engaged to conduct the search for a Chief Financial Officer for our publicly traded mining exploration company focused on developing the Company's exciting project in the Western US. With new funding milestones met the company is working with us to identify a senior finance leader with a strong mergers and acquisition background to navigate through the companies future. This role will work with the executive leadership team to advance their primary asset to feasibility. The CFO will have a strong supporting cast to manage the financial reporting while the CFO focuses on strategic initiatives.


Responsibilities:

  • Facilitating strategy and plans needed to ensure the future success of new ventures
  • Validating the profitability thesis of the acquisitions and help evaluate the risks
  • Review and provide market analysis to provide strategic insight to new project feasibilities
  • Manage legal requirements and regulatory necessities
  • Drive potential offtake agreements and ensure effective negotiations are conducted in the best interest of the company
  • Prepare for and present key financial data and metrics to Board of Directors
  •  Negotiate potential Joint Venture agreements
  • Leading financing initiatives, supporting shareholders through interactions with merger/acquisition candidates, acquirers, and with sourcing capital.
  • Advising on key business planning assumptions, trade-offs, and opportunities
  • Ensuring proper risk management and compliance to governance and legislation
  • Financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting


Requirements:

  • Post-graduate or chartered qualification such as CA, CPA, CFA and/or MBA
  • Accounting and Financial competence
  • Experience in Mergers and Acquisitions
  • Financial Modelling
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Extensive stakeholder engagement and management.
  • Governance and regulation
  • Experience in Settlements, Asset Services and Tax
  • Impressive presentation skills
  • Experience in the mining and investment sector.
