Horizon Recruitment is recruiting for an exceptional Accounts Receivable & Collections Clerk for a global leader in the advanced technology space. We are looking for an articulate communicator with a well honed ability to work with a range of businesses to minimize receivables. The Account Receivables & Collections Clerk will support our client and their customers ensuring both parties have the appropriate information to reduce friction in obtaining timely payments. This role is an opportunity to join a company with a rich history in the high tech industry. In this role you will be responsible for customer invoicing, cash applications, collections, and assists with customer credit checks. The successful candidate will receive customized training and work with a fantastic leadership team while having opportunity for advancement and learning opportunities along they way. Our client is currently working remotely, likely until the spring before moving towards a hybrid work structure. Our clients office is located in Richmond.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and perform collections; inquire status of payment and reach out to past due customers
  • Assist in processing new customer credit applications
  • Process customer invoices for new sales orders and monthly recurring services
  • Monitor accounts receivable inbox and ensure inquiries are resolved in a timely manner
  • Post customer payments and perform end of day cash reconciliation
  • Charge back reconciliation and resolving unauthorized deductions
  • Prepare and review daily shipment/credit hold report
  • Maintain customer AR accounts details in JD Edwards
  • Other ad hoc AR tasks as assigned


Requirements:

  • 2 - 3 years of Accounts Receivable experience
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of credit and collection management
  • Excellent customer service orientation and negotiation skills
  • Proficient in Excel
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to balance with speed
  • Diploma in Accounting an asset
  • Experience with JD Edwards / ERP an asset
