Our client, a high-profile mid-stream company, is looking for an outgoing, dynamic and organized accounting systems analyst for a 3-month contract. Reporting to the Controller, the Accounting Systems Analyst is required to assist the Finance function with the implementation of a new ERP system including system testing, data validation, and process documentation.

Responsibilities:

The Accounting Systems Analyst will perform a wide range of duties in support of the Finance team and the ERP system implementation project.

These may include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform data validation to ensure complete and accurate transfer of historical data
  • Assist in user acceptance testing, identifying any system or process issues
  • Troubleshooting and fixing finance related system issues
  • Collaborating with IT and Finance team members to meet business requirements
  • Documentation of new processes and procedures
  • Training and supporting Finance team members in the use of the new system and procedures
  • Review financial policies to ensure that any new procedures are in compliance with these
  • Amend and document updates to internal controls (preventative and detective) to ensure quality
  • Assurance over financial data is maintained
  • Provide ad-hoc cover for existing Finance team members as required

Requirements:

  • Some of the more common skills and attributes that are most needed for this role may include:
  • CPA designation required
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 would be an asset
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
  • Capable of handling tight deadlines and working under pressure
  • Broad experience and knowledge of accounting systems and processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to collaborate with and train other finance staff
  • Advanced computer software skills
