Horizon Recruitment is currently seeking an Accounting Supervisor for a long term contract position with one of our lower mainland clients. Reporting to the Controller, the Accounting Supervisor will be responsible for accurate and timely consolidations and reporting functions for a complex business with international operations. You will work with senior staff in the preparation of complex consolidations and will be operating in a multi-currency environment with complex inter-company reconciliations.
Requirements:
- Must hold a professional Accounting Designation (CA, CGA or CMA)
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar role with experience managing financial reporting for a large publicly traded company.
- Experience working in a multi-currency, multi-entity environment
- Thorough knowledge of IFRS and compliance issues
- Experience performing complex consolidations using powerful consolidation tools (Hyperion, Cognos, etc)
- Experience leading and mentoring a small accounting team
- The ability to work well in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Superior written and spoken English
