Our story.


In 2004 Horizon Recruitment was simply a thought in the mind of our President, Jeremy Tiffin. Jeremy was moving back home to Vancouver after a short lived experiment in the recruitment industry in Ontario. Jeremy grew up in Vancouver and had been in regular contact with his best friend and soon to be business partner Feras Elkhalil. Jeremy had quit his job with a global recruitment firm packed all of his belongings and began the drive back home with his wife Sonja. Jeremy had started a proprietorship called the Right Group earlier in ’04 and was working to grow it out of his apartment. After a few months of working on his own he and Feras decided it was time to go into business together in January of 2005.

Starting out as a one man recruitment band Jeremy began selling recruitment services into the accounting and finance space in Vancouver. It was a bit of a slog to get the business off the ground so the business took on whatever work it could get to ensure survival. After a couple of short years the business was off and running and in 2007 Jeremy created Horizon Recruitment Inc. The accounting and finance practice was doing well and in 2009 Jeremy launched the supply chain practice.

Specialization has always been a strategic imperative at Horizon and the focus has paid off. Today Horizon Recruitment Inc. is one of the largest specialized supply chain and financial recruitment firms in Canada and continues to grow at 25% annually. Horizon’s head office is located in the heart of downtown Vancouver, with offices in Calgary and Toronto as well and continues to focus on the same principles that have enabled it to grow in to the industry leader it enjoys today. These principles are:
